Art, Coffee, Tea and Blogs

So this week I’ve got a few special blogs and sites for you;

Art Review

This twice-monthly mini magazine will keep you up to date with everything that’s preventing ArtReview’s editorial staff and contributors from getting a good night’s sleep, plus all the latest news and gossip from the international artworld. In addition we’ll bring you previews and reviews of exhibitions, biennials, art fairs and auctions, as well as anything else we feel like making a fuss about.

Issuu.com

Want to go down the rabbit hole and come up in a far away place this is the one for you. I can spend hours just looking at magazines. And not just art.

Painting Perceptions

I took the following from their site

This site started with an emphasis on painters who had some connection to observed vision in their work but over time the blog grew to become more inclusive; as much perceptions on painting as it is about perceptual painting. We examine a wide range of stylistic approaches from extremely loose abstraction to precise realism and everything in between.

That’s it for now. I’m off to the studio to finish a couple of new pieces. You’ll see them posted soon! And remember…

Imagination is never still. The marks we make are verbs

Art, Coffee Tea and Blogs

Hyperallergic is a forum for playful, serious,and radical perspectives on art and culture in the world today. I’m not going to get into the number of awards they’ve received or the fact that they have over 70,000 subscribers (I’m a bit jealous), I’ll just leave it to you to enjoy…or not.

This site is more a gallery site than a blog but the artists they show have a lot going for them. I love the quality of the reproductions on the site.
